Community Intervention Program

Provides court ordered direct mentorship and counseling to troubled youth/adolescents, as part of a Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) partnership, servicing NC Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult/Juvenile Probation/Parole, District 8. Assists high risk youth/adolescents in their efforts to incorporate positive thinking and decision making into their everyday lives. This is accomplished through the utilization of various evidence based and therapeutic models to include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Intervention - Moral Reconation Therapy (CBI-MRT), group and one to one counseling sessions, along with the incorporation of community-based activities focused on improving their individual Crisis Management Skills. Additional concentration is placed on Anger Management, improved Social Skills, Continued Education and Employment Readiness and Goal Setting.
